Problem Definition

For this project, the specific desire, in addition to the automated container system in which it is possible to specify batch and species level watering, was to plan the routing of the batches during the cultivation phases with the objective being to achieve batches with specific characteristics at the correct harvesting location.

In addition, a specific wish for this project was to be able to control the lighting in the various departments on a time basis, based on the available varieties/batches in each department.

Solution

For this project, a new automated container system has been implemented in which control of container movements from the software and registration of the containers/batches has been made possible.

In order to achieve the route planning, additional functionality has been developed in the software that has made it possible to define the final destination of the batch's harvesting phase at the start of the process in order to automate intermediate movements.

For the control of the lighting, it is possible to define departments with the corresponding parameters that must be met in order to control the lighting
